Randon Timothy James Whitright, age 18, died Saturday, December 4, 2010 at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born April 22, 1992 in Apple Valley, California to Tim Jonathan and Maria Anita Cortez Whitright. Randon grew up in Apple Valley until moving to Henderson in 2000 and later to Las Vegas where he graduated from Centennial High School in 2010 where he participated in wrestling and track. As a youth, he raised pigs for the Clark County Fair through 4-H. He enjoyed the desert, hiking, free climbing, mountain biking and four wheelin'. Survivors include his parents, Tim and Maria of Las Vegas, NV; grandparents: Tim & Lorraine Whitright of Yuba City, CA; Tirso & Lupe Cortez of Moapa, NV; one brother and three sisters: Carissa, Channe both of Henderson, NV; Nicole and Robert both of Las Vegas, NV; one niece, Aubrey and one nephew, Aveyn. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 10, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the Palm Mortuary Chapel, 7400 W. Cheyenne, Las Vegas, Nevada. Interment will follow in the Logandale Cemetery under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary, 702 398-3600.
