Rand W. Wightman

Rand W. Wightman, 67, passed away on July 25, 2016 in Mesquite, NV. Rand was born to Dutch D. and Jacqueline McMullin Wightman on May 4, 1949 in Logan, UT. He was married to Judith Cook on June 20, 1967 in Ely, NV.
Rand was raised in Payson, UT, where after he graduated from high school, he attended Provo Trade Tech. He worked many years for Burgin Mine in Dividend, UT and FMC in Green River, WY as a Mine Mechanic. Rand loved the outdoors, and spent much of his time golfing, fishing and hunting pheasants. He had a deep love for nature and all animals. He loved his family and was a wonderful husband and father.
Rand is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Judith Wightman of Panguitch, UT; his son, Sean Wightman of Cedar City, UT; his daughter, Miranda (Matt) Kantor of Loveland, CO; his father, Dutch Wightman of Provo, UT; five grandchildren and a great-grandson; his siblings, Brad (Charlotte) Wightman of Salt Lake City, UT, Jill (Joe) Savicki of Springville, UT, and Edward (Karri)Wightman of Provo, UT; and his dog, Daisy, and his cat, Sam. Rand is preceded in death by his mother Jacqueline Wightman and his in-laws, Ray and Betty Cook.
