Ramona Faught Crane

November 7, 1944 — December 28, 2021

Logandale, NV

Ramona Faught Crane, 77, passed away peacefully after complications due to open heart surgery on December 28, 2021 in St. George, UT. Ramona was born in St. George, on November 7, 1944 to Henry Albert Faught and Bessie Bundy. Ramona’s family moved to Mesquite when she started elementary school. She was raised with her seven siblings and many cousins. They would play down by the Virgin River and on the Bundy Ranch. She loved her Home Economics class and enjoyed learning to cook from her Mother. During her senior year in  high school, she married Dennis Whitmore on December 14, 1962 in the St. George Temple. They then moved to Overton, NV to run Moapa Valley Freight. They had 3 children, Denna, Bryant and Henry. After six years of marriage they were divorced. Ramona married Claude Crane on September 27, 1969 in Overton. They moved to Logandale, with Claude's son Morton, Ramona's children and raised their blended family. They later had their son Wesley. Ramona loved spending time with children and loved to cook, so she started working for the Clark County School District in the cafeteria. She worked hard to ensure the best food for the children she served. She was a big help in kitchens at Moapa Valley High School, Grant M. Bowler Elementary. She was at Perkins Elementary for many years and later retired as the cafeteria manager. She loved unconditionally and was a true disciple of Jesus Christ. She had a strong testimony of our Savior and held many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was often quilting, crocheting, canning, and baking for others. She was an avid reader. Over the years she enjoyed learning ways to heal the body naturally and had an oil for every ailment.

Ramona is survived by her children, Denna (Blake, deceased) Anderson, Bryant (Diane) Whitmore, Henry Whitmore, Morton (Diana) Crane, and Wesley (Mary Jo) Crane, ; her thirteen grandchildren; her nineteen great-grandchildren; her siblings, Roy (Sherry) Faught, Loretta Faught, Guy (Pat, deceased) Faught, Oneta (Steve, deceased) Peterson, and Winona Faught, and a large extended family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Claude Crane; her parents, and her siblings, Charles (Margie) Faught, and Jack (Kathy) Faught.
