Perry Findley Hartson

December 7, 1979 — December 24, 2009

Perry Findley Hartson, age 30, died Thursday, December 24, 2009 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on the North Shore Road below Echo Bay, Nevada. He was born December 7, 1979 in Long Beach, California to Frederick Warren Jr. and Susan Elayne Gilbert Hartson. On December 16, 2006 he married Deanna Lynn Daniels in Mesquite, Nevada.

Perry grew up in Orange County, California, mostly in the Fullerton area. From a young age he loved anything on wheels. He progressed from his orange and green Big Wheel to a homemade scooter with skate wheels, to a BMX bike. He about wore out the bike trails in Fullerton. After he discovered motorized wheels, there was no stopping him. He loved to ride both dirt and street bikes. He was very crafty and enjoyed cooking and building things. He was well respected by his colleagues with whom he travelled to work on power plants in California and Nevada. He loved the mountains and just being outdoors whether he was boating, camping, riding or just having a bonfire with his friends. He moved to Overton, Nevada in September, 2006. He was a very good man, friend and husband.

Survivors include his wife, Deanna of Overton; his parents, Fred & Susan Hartson of Trona, CA; grandmother, Wanda Hartson of Chula Vista, CA; grandfather, Norman Gilbert of Ridgecrest, CA; one brother and two sisters: Heidi Hartson of Portland, OR; Aron Stanley of Trona, CA; Angela (Kevin) Rogers of Orange, CA; mother and father-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and one sister-in-law. He will also be missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, neices and nephews, and, of course, his very many friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Overton Senior Center Thrift Store.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary, 5090 N. Moapa Valley Blvd., Logandale, Nevada. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
