Peggy Elaine Gale, age 87, died Saturday, July 13, 2024 at her home in Overton, Nevada. She was born April 18, 1937 in Kimberly, Idaho to George Robert and Elizabeth Wilson Sampson. On May 27, 1958 she married Farrell C. Gale in the St. George Utah Temple. He preceded her in death on July 11, 1980.
She lived most of her life in White Pine County where she was voted the Homecoming Queen for the High School. She worked as a bank teller for many years and later as a greeter at Costco. She also provided care and service to elderly neighbors. She was a huge sports fan! She loved to watch basketball, football and baseball. She really enjoyed attending Utah Jazz games. She loved camping, playing horseshoes and being in the outdoors. She will be missed.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter: Shane of Overton; Brett (Amy) of Logandale; Erin (Charlie) Truex of Sparks, NV; daughter-in-law, Alexa (Lance- deceased) Gale of Ely, NV; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and one brother, Buddy (Patricia) Sampson of Ely, NV. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Lance Gale; brother, Denny Sampson; and sister, Jerilyn Thistle.
Graveside services will be held Monday, July 22, 2024 at 10 a.m. at the Ely City Cemetery, Ely, Nevada. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com.
