Patricia Lillian Whitlock

Patricia Lillian Whitlock, age 68, died Thursday, March 27, 2014 in St. George, Utah. She was born November 17, 1945 in Alamosa, Colorado to Max and Sylvia Theodora Padilla Garcia. On July 8, 1967 she married Patrick Edward Whitlock in Aurora, Colorado.

Patricia grew up in Alamosa, until she was eight when her family moved to Aurora, Colorado. She raised her family in Aurora, before moving to Little Rock, Arkansas for 10 years. In 2006, they retired to Mesquite, Nevada. She enjoyed her association in the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, Moose Lodge and other service organizations. She learned to brew homemade liqueurs to enjoy and give as gifts. She loved reading, writing poetry and being with friends and family.

Survivors include her husband Patrick; two daughters: Shannon (Jennifer) of Denver, CO; Dawn (Michael) Goodrich of Aurora, CO; four grandchildren: Lynzie, Jesse, Cody and Makenzie and great granddaughter, Lilly; two brothers and two sisters: Annette Rund, David Garcia, both of IL; Vivian Mylek of NM and Daniel Garcia of CO. She was preceded in death by one baby girl, Shawn and eight brothers and sisters.

A funeral Mass will be held in her honor at the La Virgen de Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014. A rosary and visitation will be Monday, March 31, 2014 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Virgin Valley Mortuary.
