Patricia Ann Sherk

Patricia Ann Longwell Brennan Sherk was Born in Elmira New York, 1931 to Earnest and Charolette Longwell. Died June 2, 2012 in her home in Mesquite Nevada. Married Donald Brennan later divorced. Married Kenneth Sherk later divorced. Survived by her children Kimberly Brennan, Kerry Brennan (Cindi), Rebecca Brennan Wagner (Joe), Sarah Sherk (Dan Busey), Amy Jerabek (Jeff), Joanne Sherk Gisseman, Nancy Goerke (Ray); six grandchildren; siblings, Cindy Grey and Jim Longwell; and traveling companion, Ott Stone. Pat lived a full life by staying busy, learning and doing new things. In addition to running a household, she volunteered with the Newcomers club, PTA and Girl Scouts. She loved the outdoors and enthusiastically explored many hobbies including ice skating, flower arranging, gardening, tennis, golf, camping (It's Party Time!), hiking, backpacking, snow and water skiing, sailing, fishing, hunting, photography, calligraphy, quilting, sewing and treasure hunting at garage sales. Pat enjoyed planning adventures and traveled extensively. She visited many places in the US, Canada, Mexico, British Isles, and Europe with the Airstream Caravan Club. Connections with the Friendship Force took her to New Zealand and Germany. She also traveled with family and friends to Europe, Africa, China, Turkey, Ireland and Japan, and spent many winters in Punta Gorda, Florida. Wherever she was, she easily made friends with her bright smile and friendly way. She will be dearly missed. We are grateful for the time we had with her.
