Patricia Loya

Patricia Loya, age 69, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Mesa View Hospital in Mesquite, NV. She was born on August 30, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA to James and Elizabeth Short Mingarino. She married Robert Loya of Linden, New Jersey on September 14, 1963 in Philadelphia PA.
She was raised in Philadelphia and graduated from South Philadelphia High School. She moved to Mesquite, NV in 2002 with her husband. She enjoyed socializing with her friends, attending church, playing bingo and cooking. She is survived by her husband Robert of Mesquite and her son Robert Brian Loya of Las Vegas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Betty Ann O'Neill.
On Tuesday, June 12, 2012, a Rosary will be said at 11:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 12:00 p.m. at La Virgin de Guadalupe Catholic Church, 401 Canyon Crest Blvd., Mesquite, NV. Interment will be on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City, NV under the direction of Virgin Valley Mortuary, Mesquite, NV.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.
