PATRICIA PHYLLIS KASE 83 of 2 West 2nd St. Oil City, Pa. died at 1:07 P.M. Friday March 6, 2009 at the Oil City Presbyterian Home. She had been a resident since Monday the 2nd.
Born in Franklin, Pa. on Jan. 2, 1926 daughter of the late Dominic and Beatrice Zappia Vendetti.
She attended the 3rd Ward grade school and graduated from Franklin High School in 1944.
Mrs. Kase was a member of St. Stephens Church and a former member of St. Patrick's while living in Franklin.
She had been employed by the Salvation Army in Oil City for 14 yrs. as their cook. She also belonged to the Pulaski Club, Belles Lettres, YWCA and the Golden Agers.
Mrs. Kase was married to James H. Kase Sr. in Arlington, VA on Feb. 13, 1956 and he preceded her in death in 1976.
Survivors include two sons, Mark (Rhonda) Kase of Logandale, NV and David Kase of Phoenix, AZ; one stepson, Jay Kase of Phoenix, AZ; one sister, Frances Dlugos of Oil City, PA; one brother, Frank Vendetti Sr. of Franklin, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one stepson, Mike Kase and by two sisters, Cecilia Spence and Carmalena Carson.
Friends will be received from 2-4,7-9 Monday, March 9 in the Reinsel Funeral Home and Crematory. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 10 in St. Stephens Church. Fr. Matthew Ruyechan will preside. She will be interned with her husband with a graveside service on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the Logandale Cemetery in Logandale, NV.
