Pascuala Perez, age 88, died Thursday, May 2, 2012 in Mesquite, Nevada. She was born May 17, 1924 in Jerome, Arizona to Juan and Nicolasa Navarro de Olivarez. On November 27, 1942 she married Jose Perez in San Gaspar, Jalisco, Mexico. Pascuala grew up in Jerome until her family moved to Mexico when she was eight. In 1953, Hidden Valley Dairy became their home, where they raised their family and taught their children to work, to care for others, to enjoy life and to be successful. She was a wonderful homemaker, enjoyed gardening, crocheting and cooking with her homegrown chili peppers, homemade cheese and tortillas. She loved her family and enjoyed their love and respect. Survivors include her husband, Jose of Moapa; four sons and four daughters: Frank (Nohemi) of Las Vegas, NV; Raymond (Lupe) of Avondale, AZ; Magdaleno of Riverside, CA; Jose Jr. (Alma) of Ventura, CA; Dolores (George) Zois of Riverside, CA: Eva (Duane) Sam of Moapa, NV; Mary (Conrad) Dominguez of Moapa, NV; Maria "Cuka" Ochoa of Las Vegas, NV; 26 grandchildren: 30 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Cecelia; two brothers, Manuel and Isaias and one daughter in law, Candace Perez. A funeral mass will be held in her honor Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 9 a.m. at the St. John's Catholic Church. Visitation and Rosary will be Friday, May 25, 2012 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary.
