Pamela Lynn Bundy, age 68, died Friday, May 26, 2023, at her home in Logandale, Nevada. She was born June 26, 1954, in Sheridan, Wyoming to Lynn Dale and Norma Alene Duncan Smith. On May 31, 1976, she married Payton Wayne Bundy in Las Vegas, Nevada. On December 29, 1989, they were sealed in the St. George LDS Temple.
Pam grew up in the oil fields of Wyoming, Colorado, and Montana. At the age of nine her family settled in Las Vegas, Nevada. As a young girl she found her passion for horses. She loved barrel racing and the competition of rodeo.
After graduating from High School in Las Vegas, she earned her Bachelor’s degree of Education from the University of Texas and earned her Master’s Degree at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. She enjoyed a career in Elementary Education, teaching Physical Education and working with Special Needs students. Pam had a love of learning and a deep love for her students. She taught in Hawaii, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Nevada.
Pam was a beautiful soul, a joy, and a blessing to all who knew her. She was adventurous and loved to snow ski, swim in the oceans, and explore national parks. She was kind, caring, empathetic, energetic, and quick to serve others. She loved her church, reading the scriptures and her Lord. Her family was her greatest joy.
Survivors include her daughter, Genie Lawrimore of Logandale, NV; grandchildren: Paylynn, Willow, Audrey, and Bailey; her mother, Alene Smith of Houston,TX; brother, Craig (Jeannie) Smith of Henderson NV and sister, Genie (Kemble) Walters of Houston, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband Payton; son, Ashley; her father, Lynn, two brothers, Gregory, and Ricky.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Logandale Chapel, 3245 N. Moapa Valley Blvd., Logandale, Nevada. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Mt. Trumball Cemetery on the Arizona Strip, Arizona.
