Oliver John Johnson

Oliver John Johnson, age 79, passed away December 8, 2020 in Mesquite, NV.  He was born September 30, 1941 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Harry Lawrence and Mathilda Katherine Popken Johnson.  He married Bethel Ann Orness, after dating her for three years, on August 14, 1965 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and they were married for 52 years.

At the age of 29, in 1970, Oliver moved his family to Colorado and lived there for over 40 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, video poker, bocce ball and exercising.  Oliver has lived in Mesquite, NV since 2014, and was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Oliver is survived by his sons; Jim (Michelle), Robert (Laura) and daughter; Debra, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.  He is preceded in death by his wife; Bethel.
