John Oleen Marble, age 78, died Friday, April 19, 2019 in Logandale, Nevada. He was born April 2, 1941 to Grant and Lavinia Barnard Marble. On February 11, 1971 he married Cynthia May "Cindy" Connolly in Reno, Nevada.
Oleen, also known as "Smiley" and "J.O.", grew up in Deweyville, Utah where he lived until moving his young family to Bountiful, Utah. He worked as a truck driver, hauling cattle, delivering propane and eventually running a route between Salt Lake City and Las Vegas for ABF Freight. He loved the outdoors, golfing, fishing, roping and riding in his side X side. He always enjoyed a good rodeo. He will be remembered for his kind, teasing, fun natured disposition.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy of Logandale, NV; son, Curtis (Kass) Marble of Telluride, CO; Janalee "Jan" Marriott of Farmington, UT; eight grandchildren; many great grandchildren; one brother and three sisters: Reese (Mary) of Riverside, UT; Kathryn (Lynn) Turner of Wellsville, UT; Ilene Tracy of Corrine, UT and LuAnn (Neil) Capener of Riverside, UT. He was preceded in death by one grandson, John Oleen and one brother, Bryan.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Logandale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the Moapa Valley Mortuary. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
