Norma Lois Hunt Perkins, age 90, died Sunday, November 29, 2013 in Las Vegas Nevada. She was born February 17, 1923 in Veyo, Utah to James Wilson and Rozilla Pulsipher Hunt. On December 2, 1950 she married Perry William Perkins in Sparks, Nevada. Norma was raised in Elgin, Nevada. During her life she also lived in Gunlock, Utah and Overton, Nevada. She raised her family in Moapa Valley and Las Vegas. She worked driving the old mail truck and also as a waitress in Glendale, NV. She also drove a big dump truck for her husband. She enjoyed cooking. Raising her family was important to her and she loved camping and hunting with her family. She also liked working with flowers and trees. She will be remembered as a great and devoted mother. Survivors include her three daughters and two sons; Wilda Spoon (Ft. Smith, AR), Diane Binder (Mesa, AZ), Joseph (Diana) McDonald (Henderson, NV), Sherry Perkins of Overton, NV and Perry (Cindy Perkins) of Las Vegas, NV; 26 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and 23 great great grandchildren; sister, Ruby Perkins of Alamo, NV and brother L.V. Hunt (Dorothy) of Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband Perry, and her five other siblings. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Overton Chapel, visitation will be held Friday, December 6, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Moapa Valley Mortuary and again from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the services at the chapel. Interment will follow at the Pioneer Hill Cemetery.
