Norma E. Kearns, age 95, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at BeeHive Homes in the company of her son and daughter.
She was born February 10, 1925 in Portland, Oregon to Norman J. Bridenbecker and Edith P. Lebewohl. She grew up in Portland and graduated from Franklin High School. She married Lamar B. Poulton on November 6, 1943 in Oregon, while Lamar was in the Army. They had a son and a daughter. Their family moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1953. They were married for 25 years.
Norma’s last employment was with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department where she retired on March 13, 1984 after 13 years of dedicated service.
She is survived by her children; Clark W. Poulton (Carol L.), St. George, UT and Cheri E. Smith (Jimmy L.) Mesquite, NV, as well as four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Preceded in death by Charles Kearns, her husband of approximately 25 years; and her older sister, Olive M. Harris.
A Graveside service was held at the Mesquite City Cemetery on Thursday, January 7, 2021. Pastor Billy Montgomery, of the First Baptist Church where Norma was a member, officiated.
