Nancy Belalcazar, 76, passed away on April 29, 2018 in her home in Mesquite, NV. Nancy was born on March 23, 1942 in Bogota, Colombia to Evelio Alomia and Nayffe Martinez. Shortly after her birth, Nan’s family moved to Cali, Colombia where she was raised. At age twenty, she married Eduardo Belalcazar on September 1, 1962 in Cali, Colombia after graduating from High School.

Nan was a hard worker and often worked in management in Cali. She worked as an Executive Secretary and Director of the Human Resources Department for Johnson & Johnson, Sinclair, the local Newspaper, and several other companies. During her life, she took the time to learn five languages: Spanish, English, French, Italian, and Portuguese.

She loved her grandchildren and followed them religiously on social media, even though she didn’t know how to use it. She loved to play computer games while keeping track of her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt.

Nan is survived by her husband; Eduardo Belalcazar, her children; Jimmy Belalcazar and his wife, Maria L. Amariles, Luis Belalcazar (passed) and his wife, Adiela Flores, and Juan C. and his wife, Griseyda Belalcazar, her ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, her siblings; Antonio Alomia, Evelio Alomia, Joris Luis Martinez, and Evilda Alomia, and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents; Evelio and Nayffe Alomia, her son; Luis E. Belalcazar, her granddaughter; Stephanie Belalcazar, and her sister; Neyla Alomia De Vidal.

A Memorial Mass will be held at la Virgen de Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mesquite, NV on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. PST. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in their Guest Book at www.virginvalleymortuary.com
