Myrna Gaye Linder, age 84, died Friday, August 12, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born August 28, 1931 in St. George, Utah to Frank Newton and Ruby Cannon Larson. On July 26, 1952 she married Paul Vere Linder in St. George, UT. They had three children and were later divorced. For the past 32 years, she has shared her life with Charles Palmira.
Myrna grew up in Southern Utah. After she was married, she lived in Indiana, Mississippi, Guam, Illinois, Utah, Nevada and the Philippines as her husband served in the military. After their divorce, she and her family lived in Las Vegas, Nevada. She enjoyed gardening, camping, boating, painting, cooking and time with family.
Survivors include Charles Palmira; three daughters: Teresa Stacy of Las Vegas, NV; Laurie (Rob) Adair of Sandy, UT; Jamie Linder of Las Vegas, NV; two step sons and one step daughter: Michael (Debbie) Palmira of New Harmony, UT; Paul (Bonnie) Palmira of Boulder City, NV; Tina (Ray) Thompson of Las Vegas, NV; 20 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; two brothers: Claude (Caroline) Larson of Henderson and Gregory Larson of Las Vegas, NV. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Hillpointe LDS Chapel, 9011 Hillpointe Road, Las Vegas, NV. Visitation will be one hour prior at the chapel. Interment will be Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 11 a.m. (MST) in the Washington City Cemetery, Washington, Utah.
