Mildred Bumgarner
December 27, 1927 — July 4, 2015
Mildred Victoria Bumgarner, age 87, passed away suddenly in St. George, Utah. She was born December 27, 1927 in Bollinger County, Missouri to Manuel E and Ida May Brinley Sample. On December 13, 1968 she married Walter Lewis Bumgarner in Kankakee, Illinois. They were later divorced.
Mildred grew up in Missouri, until at the age of 14 her family moved to Bradley, Illinois. She raised her family in that area until finally spending time with her daughter in Las Vegas and Mesquite, Nevada. She enjoyed reading, fishing, camping and line dancing. She always enjoyed traveling and seeing new places.
Survivors include one son and two daughters: Gary (Mary) Norton of MI; Vicki Ritchie of NV; Debbie Degnan of IL; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Henery; one son, Dennis Norton and six siblings.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 4 - 5 p.m. at the Virgin Valley Mortuary, Mesquite, Nevada. Graveside services will be held Tueday, July 14, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Mound Grove Gardens Cemetery in Kankakee, Illinois. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book
