Mildred (Mills) Allen

Nordene Mildred Allen, age 84, died Friday, November 3, 2023 at her home in Overton, Nevada.  She was born November 10, 1938 in Onsted, Michigan to Eugene Alonzo and Nellie Viola Schrock Mills.  In 1958, she married Juan Parra Nevarez in Ponders Corner, Washington.  They had five children before Juan passed away.  She later married Theresa “Terry” Kay Allen.

Mildred grew up in Michigan and California.  She raised her family in Southern California where she worked as a nurse's aide, as a cashier and later in security.  She relocated to Moapa Valley in 2010.  She enjoyed crocheting and going to bible study.  She delighted others with her humming and whistling as she enjoyed the day.

Survivors include her life partner, Terry Allen of Overton;  her son, Everett (Shannon) Nevarez of Las Vegas, NV;  step son, Richard Smith of Reno, NV;  eight grandchildren;  15 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Friday, November 10, 2023 at 6 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary, 5090 N. Moapa Valley Blvd., Logandale, NV.  Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.maoapvalleymortuary
