Mikele Ray Baker

Mikele Ray Baker began his wild ride on earth, November 14, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah with his mother Mervil Rosabel Clements, and father Lynn James Baker. His wild ride came to an end 61 years, 5 months,and 29 days later on June 12, 2017 in St. George Utah.

He lived the last 30 years comfortably in Beaver Dam, Arizona with his loving wife Judy Louise Pace Baker who he married in Lehi, Utah on August 15,1975. They were blessed with the birth of there two children; Rena Dawn Baker (daughter) who is 39 and Ryan Ray Baker (son) who is 36. Rena Dawn Baker blessed them with three beautiful granddaughters; Ceara Dawn Ellingford 20, Kaylie Skye Ellingford 18,Kynnedie Daye Ellingford 15,all living together in Beaver Dam, Arizona.

Mikele grew up on Truman Avenue in South Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from Granite High. He loved to go to the sand dunes to scare people. If he asked you to go for a ride in one of his many machines that he owned you can guarantee you were going to get out shaking. Mikele raced dirt bikes in his younger adult years and climbed on his first piece of heavy equipment with his father while they were clearing out fire breaks in Vernon,Utah. He must have liked it, because that was his career of choice for the rest of his life. He had a hand in building golf courses in Mesquite and St. George and infrastructure for those areas throughout his years. He was also road maintenance for Mohave County,Arizona for 13 years and volunteer assitant fire chief for Beaver Dam.

Mikele is survived by his wife, Judy Louise Baker, his daughter Rena Dawn Baker,and son Ryan Ray Baker, his three granddaughters;Ceara Dawn Ellingford, Kaylie Skye Ellingford,Kynnedie Daye Ellingford, all of Beaver Dam, Arizona; Kay and Radell Hunt of Salt Lake City, Utah (sister), Jim and Claire Baker of Salt Lake City, Utah (brother), Richard and Connie Baker of Salt Lake City, Utah (brother), Dave and Melinda Baker of Salt Lake City, Utah (brother), Cathy and Jack Creechley of Boise, Idaho (sister), Pamela and Jonathan Raia of Salt Lake City, Utah (sister).

Mikele was preceded in death; by father Lynn James Baker, mother Mervil Rosabel Baker, sister Donna Bueter, sister Judy Baker, sister Barbara Peterson, brother Leslie Baker, brother Russell Baker, sister Janice Potter, and his sister Penny Perkins Baker.

Mikele's funeral services will be held June 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. AZ time in the Beaver Dam LDS Church, viewing prior at 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment at the Beaver Dam Cemetery will immediately follow. A luncheon will follow at the Beaver Dam LDS Church and from there to the Baker residence for Mike's celebration of life.
