Mike was born June 16, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah to George and Veldean Mcallister Kirk. He married the love of his life, Jackie on June 18, 1973 and together had two beautiful children.
Papa loved to coach baseball from Little League to Tee-ball, especially when it came to coaching or watching his grandchildren play. He was an avid hunter he loved it so much, he often would have, what they call, “buck fever”. He had a love for classic cars and enjoyed doing bodywork on them until he became a master at it. He worked many years at the Kennicott Copper Mine in Utah until he retired. He loved his family, and above all, he loved his grandchildren and loved to spend time with them. He was always there for them and if they needed anything, he would drop whatever he was doing to help them.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Kirk; his children, Nick (Jacquie) Kirk, and Melissa (Tracy) Snow; his grandchildren, Anissa and Mikala Kirk, Austin and Emily Snow, Nate and Noah Morcos; and his beloved dog, Daisy.
Papa is preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Veldean; sister, Karen; and grandson Kobe.
(Papa and Kobe must be having a grand reunion ripping the mohawks together).
At Papa’s request, no services will be held, but the family would like to invite you to leave a message or memory on their Guestbook at virginvalleymortuary.com.
