Michael Vernon Wilcox, 63, passed away Friday, November 29, 2013 at his home in Scenic, Arizona. He was born February 14, 1950 to Vernon and Velda Wilcox in Hurricane, Utah. He married the love of his life Dorothy Webb.
Mike grew up in Virgin, Utah. As a young man, he was always the biggest, he loved to ride horses and be in the outdoors. He served two tours in Vietnam, and was always proud to be a Veteran. He enjoyed being part of the Elks Lodge for over 30 years, serving as an officer for 10 years. He worked as an equipment operator, but was also a skilled carpenter and woodworker, building the family home and cabin. He will be remembered for his sense of fun, his love of family and his love for the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy; daughters: Stacey Spendlove of Moapa, NV; Shannon Spendlove of Mesquite, NV; sons, Michael (Caprese) Vernon Hansen of Salt Lake City, UT; Kallen (Ann) Wilcox of Moapa, NV; 10 grandchildren; 1great-granchild; sister, Frances (George) Gusler of Iber, N. Mexico and brother, Dale (Marilyn)Wilcox of Virgin, UT.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 1PM at the Mesquite Elks Lodge.
