Michael Robert Brandt

Michael Robert Brandt (56) passed away on August 7, 2016 in a tragic car accident on his way home from a family vacation. On August 27, 1987 he married Joy Lee Tebbs in the Jordan River Temple. They shared 28 years together.
Michael was born January 1, 1960 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Robert Gluck and Francis Jeanette Brandt. He graduated from the University of Utah with a Master's degree. He taught seminary and institute for the LDS Church Educational System for 36 years.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a bishop and served in various other callings; however his favorite was a ward mission leader. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Joy, his sons: Stephen, Bryan (Coral), and his daughters: Danielle (Loren) and Courtney (Braden) and son-in-law Kekoa Piena. He was a loving grandfather to Mareligh and Adalynn Tarr, and Preston, Hunter, and Greyson Noel.
The funeral service will be held on August 13, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Robindale LDS Church, 7670 S Bruce St., Las Vegas, NV. Visitation will be Friday, August 12, 2016 from 6 - 9 p.m. at the chapel.
