Michael Beard

Cranberry Township, PA - Michael (Mike) Beard, 59, passed away March 3, 2016 in St. George, UT. He was born June 19, 1956 in Steubenville, OH to John E. Beard, Jr. and Mary Geneva Thomas. He married Linda Varga Wolf April 26, 1991 in Steubenville, OH.

Mike was raised in Steubenville, OH where he attended Big Red High School. He was a sports fan and never missed watching Steeler or Ohio State football. He loved Pirate baseball as well. His true passion was golf, and after spending several years working in broadcasting and selling cars, he was able to retire and work part time at Cranberry Highlands Golf Course. This allowed him to golf at least three times a week. He spent his winters in Mesquite, NV, providing him with even more golf time. He was able to truly enjoy his retirement and had the tan to prove it. He loved meeting new people and socializing. He left an impression on everyone he met.

He is survived by his wife Linda. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother John (Jack) E. Beard III.

A private memorial for friends and family will be held at a later time in Cranberry Township, PA. Donations in his memory can be made to the American Diabetes Association. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in their "Guest Book".
