Melford Ray Keeler, Jr., age 76 died Saturday, March 28, 2020 in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born March 26, 1944, in Salina, Kansas to Melford Ray and Shirley V. (Stenfors) Keeler.
Ray grew up in Salina and Assaria, Kansas. After two years of college, he enlisted in the Air Force, served for more than twenty-six years, retiring as Senior Master Sargent. He raised his family in Colorado Springs. After the Air Force retirement, Ray worked several years with the US Postal service where he met his wife Jeanne Sue Angelich. They were married on October 12, 1996, in Evergreen, Colorado. He was an avid reader and enjoyed riding motorcycles and driving his latest Corvette.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne of Mesquite, NV; son Aaron, of Pueblo, CO; daughter, Charlene (Bryan) Cessna, of Dover, DE; six grandchildren; brother Wayne (Carol) of Salina, KS; and sister Sue Jacobson of Osawatomie, KS. He was preceded by his parents and one infant brother.
