Mary Jane ValDez , age 93, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2011 at her home in Mesquite, Nevada. Mary Jane was born January 12, 1918 in Laramie, Wyoming to Talbert Theodore and Elizabeth Motto Bloom. Mary Jane spent most of her young life in Laramie Wyoming. She later met Albert Arthur ValDez, they married October 5, 1940 in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Mary Jane and Albert raised their four children in Rock Springs, Wyoming and then migrated to Bountiful and Layton, Utah. Mary Jane and Albert were snowbirds and would winter in Yuma, Arizona. Mary Jane enjoyed crocheting, making crafts and in her early years bowling. Mary Jane moved to Mesquite, Nevada two years ago. Survivors include two daughters and two sons: Edith Sutter of Overton, NV; Betty-Jo Blank of Mesquite, NV; James (Lorrie) of Thatcher, UT; Albert Jr. (Libbie) of West Jordan, UT; 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and three sisters. Private inurnment services will be held in Wyoming.
