Mary Van Leuvan

Mary Beatrice Van Leuven, age 85, died Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at her home in Overton, Nevada. She was born April 16, 1926 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Francis M. And Verda Mae Hollewell Watkins. On December 28, 1943 she married Richard Hall Van Leuven in Reno, Nevada. In 1956 they were sealed in the Los Angeles Temple. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2008. Mary grew up in Oklahoma. In the '40's her family moved to Westwood, California, where she met and married Richard. She worked in the Aerospace Industry as a chemical lab technician. In 2001, she settled in the Moapa Valley area where she worked with her son at Arrowhead Towing. She loved being a member of the LDS Church and will be remembered for her charity. Survivors include two sons: Richard of Lebanon, OR; Allen of Overton, NV; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jean Rhoads. Graveside services will be held at the Willamette Veterans National Cemetery in Portland, OR.
