Mary Jane Kinnik, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away April 17, 2009 at her home in Mesquite, Nevada. Jane was born July 22, 1941 in Ligonier, Pennsylvania to Paul F. and Etta Anderson (Monticue). She was the youngest of ten children.

Jane was the loving wife of William M. Kinnik. They married on February 2, 1963 in Ligonier, Pennsylvania. She is survived by her husband, sisters Wilma of Stahlstown, PA, Irene of Baggaley, PA; brother Harvey of Ligonier, PA; her four children, Dianna Kinnik-Lee of Worthington, OH, Kathryn K. Byerly of Alexandria, VA, Michele L. Naradzay of Henderson, NC, and William M. Kinnik II of Chapel Hill, NC; grandchildren Sophia Isabella Naradzay, Sydney Olivia Naradzay, and Samuel John William Naradzay, all of Henderson, NC, and William Christopher Lee of Worthington, OH.

Jane worked for many years as a supervisor at the TOYAD foam company in Latrobe, PA, and returned there to work in that capacity after it re-opened as Chestnut Ridge Foams. In 1991, Jane and Bill moved from their longtime home in Wilpen, PA to Lehmer Street in Latrobe, where they lived until 2004. They moved again in May 2004 to Mesquite, NV to retire. To keep busy, Jane worked part-time at the Do It Best Corp. distribution center in Mesquite.

In early 2008, Jane was diagnosed with cancer. She spent the next nine months in Alexandria, VA undergoing extensive radiotherapy and chemotherapy at Sibley Memorial Hospital and Georgetown University Hospital.

In February of 2009, Jane and Bill traveled back to Mesquite so that they could enjoy her final days at home with family and friends. Jane's battle with cancer ended quietly and peacefully after noon on Friday.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 12 noon at La Virgen de Guadalupe Catholic Church in Bunkerville, NV. Friends may call Tuesday, April 21 from 2 to 4 pm and 7to 9 pm at Virgin Valley Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either La Virgen de Guadalupe Catholic Church Building Fund or Virgin Valley Home Care and Hospice of Mesquite, NV.
