Beaver Dam, AZ. - Marlene A. (Nichols) McCray, 69, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012, at her winter home in Beaver Dam, AZ. Her summer home was at Desert Canyon Golf Resort, Orondo,WA. She was born in Joliet, IL. on January 3, 1943 to Ruby (Begley) Nichols and Ralph Nichols. She married Charles McCray on July 14, 1961 in Rockfold, IL. She was raised in Sycamore, IL., graduated from Sycamore High in 1961 and then attended Northern Illinois University. She and her husband lived in many different areas of the United States. She enjoyed many things, especially reading, golf, getting together for cards with friends and neighbors, going to the theater, getting together for lunch with her girl friends, and traveling back to Sycamore to visit her classmates and the Corp of 12 of Marilyn Majorettes. She is survived by her husband, Charles, of 51 years and their daughter Regina Bryan (Greg), who lives in Cashmere, WA. They blessed Marlene and Charles with four beautiful grandchildren (Payton, Colton, Mitchell, and Shay). They are also survived by their two sons, Daniel McCray (Shannon), living in Flagstaff, AZ., and Neil McCray (Robin), living in Yelm, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Nina Romani. Services will be held later this Spring in Beaver Dam and also in the Summer at Desert Canyon.
