Mark Verl Peterson, age 52, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021. He was born in Richfield, Utah on October 21, 1968 to Joseph Verl and Jolene Jacobsen Peterson. He graduated from Richfield High School.
Mark married the love of his life Kristin Delacy Sorenson of West Point, Utah on August 23, 1991. Together, they had four beautiful children. Their family was later sealed in the Las Vegas Temple on May 15, 2010. Mark was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and uncle. His family was the most important thing to him.
Mark was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he served in many callings. He had faith in our Savior Jesus Christ and a strong testimony of the atonement.
Mark was an extremely diligent worker and he strived to teach his children the value of hard work. He provided for his family as a heavy equipment operator since 1993, and worked at Las Vegas Paving. As a hobby, Mark enjoyed creating custom knives which he sold from his home and at the local Pomegranate Festival. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycles, flying RC planes, and playing guitar with his children. He could fix or build just about anything he set his mind to. Mark loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting, and spending time with his family. He had a great sense of humor and was a positive influence on everyone that knew him.
Mark is survived by his wife, Kristin; his four children: Jaden Mark (Jessica) of St. George, Utah, Delacy Jo, Halen Joseph, and Waverly Rose of Logandale; two grandchildren: Holden and Lydia; his parents: Joseph and Jolene Peterson of Richfield, Utah; and his siblings: Douglas Peterson of Salina, Utah, Teresa Adams of Hurricane, Utah, and Amy (Joseph) Pritchard of Corvalis, Oregon.
