Marjorie Renfrow
Marjorie Eleanor Renfrow, age 85, died Wednesday, December l7, 2008 in Mesquite, Nevada. She was born June 16, 1923 in Downey, Idaho to Clinton .John and Winifred Evans Mock. Marjorie grew up in Downey until her senior year when the family moved to Wendell, Idaho where she graduated from high school. She graduated from the University of Idaho in I945 and taught high school English in Burley, Idaho for two years. On September 4, I947 she married Jerry Franklin Renfrow in Wendell, Idaho. They lived in Moscow until 1949 when Jerry graduated from the University of Idaho. They moved back to Wendell until 1953 when Jerry began working for the Green Giant Company in Dayton, Washington. Marge taught at the Dayton Junior High School for ten years before they moved back to southern Idaho. They lived in Buhl for 35 years. They enjoyed their retirement years as snowbirds in Desert Hot Springs, California. In 2005 they moved to Mesquite. Nevada. Marjorie enjoyed painting, gardening, golfing, traveling, and reading. She was a member of Mesquite United Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter and two sons, Pamela (Tom) Gillick of Mesquite, Nevada; Douglas (Dawn) Renfrow of Nampa, Idaho; Phillip (Breen) Renfrow of Shoreline, Washington; one brother. Robert Mock of SeeIey Lake, Montana; one sister. Kathryn Hoskins of Idaho Falls, Idaho; six grandchildren. April, Autumn, Emily, Adam, Reed, and Kyla; and two great grandchildren. Charlotte and FeIix. She was preceded in death by one sister Marion Salvesen, one brother Charles Mock. and her husband of 60 years, Jerry who passed on July 30. 2008. A memorial service will be held January 5, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Mesquite United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to Mesquite United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.
