Marjorie Beulah Artz Post, age 71, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at her home in Overton, Nevada after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 29, 1937 to Claire Theodore and Beulah Agnes Barr Artz, the oldest of four daughters.

Marge was raised on a farm in North Dakota where she learned to work hard and enjoy life. On June 18, 1955 she married Walter Davis Post in Fairview, Montana. Together they had three children. Wallie was involved in road construction, so they lived in many cities in the western United States. In 1967, they settled near Hurricane, Utah, where they owned and operated a dance club with live country music. The Dixie Lounge became a very popular spot in Southern Utah. After moving to Washington, Utah, Wallie continue to entertain at local clubs. Later, Marge learned to play the keyboard and had fun entertaining with Wallie and their friends. Often on the weekends they had barbecues and jam sessions in their home.

In the early '80's, they moved to Overton, Nevada. Wallie preceded her in death in 1998. Marge still traveled to Montana in the summer and to Yuma, Arizona in the winters where she met up with family and friends. Marge volunteered at the senior center once a week and had many friends there. She was very active and enjoyed walking and her exercise classes that she did with her friends and sisters. She was involved in cancer awareness and enjoyed walking with the Relay For Life. She was a positive influence for her family and a great example of enduring to the end.
