Marjorie Fenstermaker, age 95, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 4, 2017 in Mesa, Arizona. She was born December 20, 1921 in Moapa, Nevada to Dewey Arthur and Bessie Marie Bowler Hortt. On November 26, 1941 she married Robert Clark "Bob" Fenstermaker in Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death on October of 2008.
Marge grew up in Mesquite, Nevada. After meeting her husband, she began a life of adventure, living in many places throughout the world as her husband served in the US Military. They settled in Tempe, Arizona where she worked as a secretary at Arizona State University. She was an avid reader and loved gardening. She was a talented seamstress and quilter and enjoyed serving others. G Grandma Margie will be remembered as an "Elect Lady".
Survivors include two daughters: Sue Perkins of Phoenix, AZ; Ginny (Kevin) DeRusha of Thatcher, AZ; ten grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one infant son, Richard, her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Mesquite City Cemetery under the direction of Virgin Valley Mortuary, 702 346-6060.
