Marjetta Wilkinson, age 81, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015 peacefully at her daughter's home in Overton, Nevada, after a long battle with heart disease. She was born August 4, 1934 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Elbert Montgomery Hinton and Bessie Mae Roberts Hinton.
Marjetta lived most of her life in Oklahoma. She retired to Mesa, Arizona for 15 years before spending her final two years in Overton. Always a social and enjoyable person, she was also ambitious with good business sense and in 1994 became the first in her family to own, as well as operate, a computer. She belonged to Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Mesa. Her kindness, generosity and sense of humor endeared her to everyone, but it is her beautiful smile, sparkling green eyes, and charming Oklahoma twang that brought smiles to those fortunate enough to meet her that will be missed most of all.
Survivors include her daughter, Denise & son-in-law JD Challenger of Overton, NV, daughter Subrette Wilkinson of New Mexico; three grand daughters, one grandson, and one great grandson,as well as numerous members of her extended family. She was preceded in death by her son, Dwain Wilkinson and four sisters.
Memorial services will be held in March in Mesa, Arizona. The family asks donations be made to the American Heart Association in her memory. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
