Marissa Watkins

Marissa Dawn Watkins, age 20, died Monday, April 1, 2013 in an automobile accident north of Salina, Utah. She was born March 8, 1993 in Fort Rucker, Alabama to Gary Oray and Kimberly Dawn Martin Watkins. Marissa grew up in Moapa, Nevada. She graduate from Moapa Valley High School in 2011, where she excelled in theatre and the dance team, Pirate Motion. She was currently attending Snow College in Ephraim, Utah, where she was majoring in music, with an emphasis on piano. She also had roles in many productions in the theatre department. She was also a member of the "Arise" choir at the LDS Institute.

She will be remembered for her bright smile, and for the way that she showed love to everyone she met. She was a bright light to those that stood in darkness, with a spirit that was too strong for the mortal world.

Survivors will include her parents, Gary and Kimberly of Moapa, NV; three brothers: Matthew (Lori) of Moapa, NV; Mark (Hope) and Michael (Felicia) both of Rexburg, ID; and grandmothers, Marcia Watkins of Moapa, NV, and Pat Martin of Stockton, UT.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Moapa LDS Chapel. Visitation will be Friday, April 5, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary and again from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. prior to services at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Logandale Cemetery.
