Marilyn Gaye Jacobsen

Marilyn Gaye Jacobsen was born August 19, 1936 to loving parents Wells and Genevieve Manwill. She enjoyed her childhood in Southern California with two brothers, Ron and Gary and her sister and best friend, Joyce. As a young adult, Marilyn met her lifelong companion, Bert. They married on April 21, 1956 in Arcadia, California and so began their loving and devoted union. They were later sealed in the Los Angeles Temple on January 19, 1974.

Marilyn always dreamed of becoming a mother. When Marilyn was only seven, her sister Joyce was born and she truly believed that Joyce had been born just for her. Finally, Marilyn's lifelong dream was fulfilled when her life was blessed with two daughters, Lori and Christine.

Being a wife and mother was Marilyn's greatest joy. She devoted her life to her husband, children and grandchildren filling her hopes and prayers with her desire for their happiness and welfare. Her greatest joy was knowing that her family loved one another and thoroughly enjoyed being together.

Mother, wife, sister, friend and grandy. May you rest now forever fulfilled.
