Marian Eva Bishop

August 25, 1938 — January 12, 2017

On January 12 2017, our sweet mother, grandmother and wife died at age 78 after a long battle with COPD and heart failure.

Marian was born on August 25 1938 in Ogden Utah to Cecil and Rose Kammeyer Ellison. She grew up and spent most of her life in the Ogden area. She was a graduate of Ben Lomand High School.

In 1956 she married Lonnie Morrell. From this union three boys were born: Clay, Jeff and Johnny.

On June 25 1980, she married the love of her life, Murl Dean Bishop. Marian worked at IRS, Defense Depot Ogden and later as the bookkeeper for Bishop family tile company.

Marian and Murl retired fairly young and enjoyed spending the last 30 winters at their home in Overton, Nevada. She enjoyed volunteering at the Overton Senior Center Thrift Store. They spent the rest of their time between their homes in Riverdale, Utah and Star Valley, Wyoming. She enjoyed travelling, golfing, fishing, hunting and playing cards.

Marian is survived by her husband Murl, 3 sons: Clay (Jeannette) Morrell of Willard Utah, Jeff (Billie Jo) Morrell of Plain City Utah and Johnny Morrell of Ogden Utah. She is also survived buy three step children: Ron (Mary) Bishop, Sheryl (David) Pulver and Kathy (Doug) Joynt. One sister Darlene Corliss Buckley, two brothers: Gary (DeAnn) Ellison and Frank (Pat) Ellison, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and several neices and nephews. Marian was preceded in death by her parents and oldest brother Clifford Ellison and 2 grandsons: Scott Bishop and Nick Joynt.

Memorial service will be held at a later date.
