Maria del Refugio Uribe, age 38, died Monday, July 20, 2009 at Mesa View Hospital in Mesquite, Nevada from health complications from her kidney transplant. She was born October 11, 1970 in Cuxpala, Mexico to Marcos and Graciela Aranzazu Uribe. Maria grew up in Cutler, California and she moved to Mesquite, Nevada in 1996. She has suffered from health problems for many years and benefitted from a kidney transplant in September of 2005. After the transplant, she wore out her body trying to stay healthy. She enjoyed reading, cooking, the rain and she loved her nieces and nephews. Survivors include her companion of eight years, Hugo Delgado of Mesquite, NV; her parents, Marcos and Graciela Uribe of Mesquite, NV; three brothers and two sisters: Martha of Mesquite, NV; Mario of Jackpot, NV; Vidal of Twin Falls, ID; Jose Antonio (Maribel) of Jackpot, NV; Graciela of Jackpot, NV and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held in her honor on Friday, July 24, 2009 at La Virgen De Guadalupe Catholic Church in Bunkerville, Nevada. Arrangements under the direction of Virgin Valley Mortuary.
