Maria Esther Barreda

Maria Esther Barrios De Barreda, age 98, died Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in North Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born June 8, 1914 to Isidro and Petronila Ruiz Barrios in Cuba. She married Federico Barreda on July 14, 1932 in Cuba. Maria grew up in Cuba, she was one of thirteen children. She moved to the United States in 1971 and lived in southern California. In 2007 she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. La familia was most important to Maria. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was very thankful for this country. Maria was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Maria is survived by her seven children; Argimiro (Susanna) Barreda of Hurricane, UT; Aracelis (Angel) Rosales of Surprise, AZ; Arinosbelis (Manuel) Rodriguez of Corona, CA; Joaquin (Ana) Barreda of Garden Grove, CA; Miriam (Nelson) Bello of North Las Vegas, NV; Juan Barreda of Miami, FL; Maria Isabel (Rex) Benson of Surprise, AZ; 16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, and all of her brothers and sisters. Services will be held Monday, June 25, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 3401 South Greenville St., Santa Ana, CA. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service at the chapel. Interment will follow at The Good Shepherd Cemetery,8301 Talbert Avenue Huntington Beach, CA 92646 .
