Mesquite, NV - Manuela Prieto, 74, passed away May 11, 2015 at Highland Manor in Mesquite, NV. Manuela was born May 30, 1940 in Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico to Pedro Prieto and Bonifacia Trejo. She married Jesus Atondo April 11, 2009 in Las Vegas, NV.
Manuela was raised in Casas Grandes. In 1978 she arrived in the United States and moved around until she settled in El Paso, TX. In 1990 she moved to Mesquite, NV where she worked as a Porter for the Oasis Casino. She enjoyed cooking, painting, and playing the dollar slots at the casino.
She is survived by her husband, Jesus Atondo of Mesquite, NV, her brother Ramon Prieto, and her sister Maria del Pilar Ramos. She was a beloved mother figure to her nephews and nieces whom she helped raise. She will not be forgotten and may she rest in peace.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 @ 6pm at Virgin Valley Mortuary, 320 E. Old Mill Rd, Mesquite, NV.
