Majorie Johnson

Majorie Johnson, age 76, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010 at Highland Manor in Mesquite, Nevada. She was born October 14, 1933 in Westwood, California to Emil and Majorie (Farrell) Sundberg. She married Eric Johnson in 1952 in a private ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada.

She was raised for the first few years of her life in Westwood until her father relocated the family to Palo Alto, California due to his affiliation with Stanford University. She attended various schools in Palo Alto where she was widely liked and respected. She later met her husband, Eric, and moved to San Jose, California where he trained astronauts for NASA. Majorie later worked for many years at AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) as a Supervisor over 16 people.

Although Majorie had few hobbies, her main and constant hobby was actually people to whom she offered a lot of love. She and her husband traveled frequently throughout the United States during the first half of their marriage. She loved people, and particularly, to learn all she could about their lives. To her, no one was a stranger, and everyone was (and is) worthy of love.

She is survived by her son, Eric Johnson, of San Francisco, California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eric (February 2002) and her son, Troy (September 2001).
