Lysha Marshall

March 1, 1992 — June 9, 2009

Lysha Marshall, age 17, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2009 in Mesquite, Nevada from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. She was born March 1, 1992 in St. George, Utah to Gregory R and Carolyn Smith Marshall.

Lysha grew up in Logandale, Nevada. She was the 6th generation of her family to live in the Moapa Valley. She just finished the 11th Grade at Moapa Valley High School. She has been a talented three sport athlete, competing in Volleyball, Basketball and Track. She also played the violin in orchestra and the piano at home. She enjoyed photography and swimming. She loved her job as a lifeguard for the past 2 years. Although she was very competitive, she was very friendly and outgoing and loved to visit. She loved the Young Woman's organization in the LDS Church and had received her Young Woman's Medallion.

Survivors include her parents, Greg and Carolyn of Logandale; two brothers and two sisters: Elder Steven Marshall serving in the Little Rock, AR Mission; Corey, Kaitlyn and Rebecca all of Logandale; grandparents: Ron & Erlene Marshall of Logandale, NV; Bruce (Karen) Smith of Logan, UT; Elaine (Wally) Hamilton of Shelley, ID; great grandparents: Alice Marshall of Logandale, NV; Ila Winsor of Logandale, NV and Twila Smith of Pocatello, ID.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Logandale LDS Stake Center. Visitation will be Friday, June 12, 2009 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Stake Center and again from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the Stake Center. Interment will be in the Logandale Cemetery under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary, 702 398-3600. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guestbook at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
