Lucile Lorene Greeson
November 7, 1935 — August 24, 2016
Lucile Lorene Greeson, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born November 7, 1935 in Kilgore, Texas to Orbie Clyde and Fannie Adaline Hicks. On April 11, 1952 she married Jim Lee Greeson in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on September 19, 2002.
During Lucile's childhood, her father worked as a pipefitter, moving frequently with new jobs. Albuquerque felt like home. She enjoyed working in Education. She loved the learning process and earned two Master's Degree, one in English and one in English Education. She taught high school for over 30 years in Arizona and California. She retired to Logandale in 1992. She loved to read.
Survivors include one son and three daughters: Leann of CA; James of Las Vegas, NV; Shannon Piek; Shea (Jon) Clay both of Abingdon, VA; five grandchildren; three brothers: Roland (Dolly) of Las Vegas, NV; Leonard of CA and Rodney (Glenna) of Stockton, CA. One brother, Norman, preceded her.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Palm Mortuary Chapel, 7400 W. Cheyenne, Las Vegas, NV. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the chapel.
