Lou Jeanne Lewis, age 87, died Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at her home in Moapa, Nevada. She was born January 10, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Arthur and Malinda Sylvesta Hall Barlow. On October 30, 1945 she married Paul Condie Lewis while he was in port San Francisco during WWII.
Lou Jeanne grew up in Kannarraville, UT and Long Beach, California. She moved to Moapa at age 14 and has lived here since. She was a constant support to her husband in all his endeavors. They served a two year LDS Mission in the Macon Georgia Mission. She was a gifted poet and writer. She was a loving attentive Mother and Grandmother. She was a loyal friend.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Paul of Moapa, NV; daughter in law, Pat Lewis of Moapa, NV; son, Robert (Vivian) serving an LDS Mission in Chile; daughters, Dianne (Gary) Leavitt; Susan (Bill) Pulsipher both of Moapa, NV; daughter in law, Kim (Alan) Marshall of Bend, OR; daughter, Lillian (Rocky) Outcalt of AK; 42 grandchildren; 168 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren; one brother, Doug (Susan) Barlow of Logandale, NV and one sister, Carol (Kay) Barton of UT. She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Barlow, three sons, Ron, Richard and David and two grandsons, Ammon and Jonathan.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Moapa LDS Chapel. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Pioneer Hill Memorial Cemetery.
