Lorraine Benn

Lorraine Benn, 68, passed away on October 19, 2023 in St. George, UT. Lorraine was born on September 25, 1955 in Caliente, NV to Lloyd E. Benn and Lillian Samson. Lorraine had a fun and bubbly spirit and was the life of the party. She could get along with anyone, and made many friends in her life. She loved traveling, visiting many parts of the United States. She loved being near the ocean, spending time in Hawaii and the east coast. She loved being in nature, visiting forests and mountains in North Dakota, and the Grand Canyon in Arizona. There was always get-togethers and parties with Lorraine. She wanted to be surrounded by family, dancing to music and eating good food. She cared for her grandkids, and built special relationships with each of them. She had many wonderful years with her loving partner, Carwin McFee.

Lorraine is survived by her significant other, Carwin “Humpy” McFee; her children, Natalie Dawahoya, LaLainia (Chev) Smith, Christy Dawahoya, and Delbert John; her ten grandchildren; her four great-grandchildren; many cousins; and her two nieces. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Naylin Faucett; her parents, Lloyd E. Benn and Lillian Samson; and her siblings, Rodney Benn, Emmett Benn, and Marlene Grayman.

A viewing will be held at the Moapa Tribal Building on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at 2-3:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service 3-5:00 p.m., with a traditional Sing held at sundown.
