Lorena Dean Thobe, 87, passed away on May 20, 2016 in Mesquite, NV. Lorena was born on November 14, 1928 to Jasper Lee Hopper and Tommie Pat Blevens in Rosedale, OK. She married Donald M. Thobe on April 16, 1947 in Reno, NV.
Lorena was born and spent her early years in Oklahoma and Texas, and then her family moved to Tulare, CA, where Lorena graduated from high school. She was an original member of the Desert Dames, a women’s organization. After she moved to Mesquite, she enjoyed participating in the Bowling League and was a member of the Bridge Club. Her dry humor and quick wit will be greatly missed.
Lorena is survived by her husband, Donald M. Thobe, her son Mark (Gretchen) Thobe, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, two brothers, and two sisters. Lorena is preceded in death by her son Michael Thobe, and one brother.
