Lloyd Wiltbank Stratton, age 89, died Sunday, June 14, 2020 in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born February 11, 1931 in St. George, Utah to Oliver Lang and Josephine Foremaster Stratton. On December 22, 1951 he married Mary Truman in Enterprise, Utah. They were sealed on December 10, 1960 in the St. George Utah Temple. She died on April 20, 2011.
Lloyd grew up in St. George, Utah. As a young man he spent the summers in Central, Utah on the family ranch. He raised his family in St. George until moving to Henderson, Nevada in 1965. He worked as a bus driver transporting workers out to the test site.
Lloyd always had a love for the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. In his later years he enjoyed gardening and traveling. He had a great memory and enjoyed learning friends and acquaintances family history. He loved making new friends and honoring old friendships.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter: Bruce (Debbie); Marcine (Keith) Neilson; Shane (Cheryl) all of Logandale; eleven grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters: Malinda and Melody; one grandson; three brothers and four sisters.
The family would like to thank the staff of Mesa View Hospice Care and the Beehive House in Mesquite for their kindness and love in taking care of Dad.
Funeral services will be held at the Moapa Valley Mortuary on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 6 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior at the mortuary. Interment will be Friday, June 19, 2020 at 12 Noon (MST) in the Enterprise City Cemetery, Enterprise, Utah. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
