Linda Pohlmeier, 62, passed away March 9, 2012 at her home in Mesquite, Nevada surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 23, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to the proud parents of Albert and Irene Comyn. She married Gerald Pohlmeier on April 6, 1982 in Honolulu, Hawaii. They were married for 30 beautiful years.
Linda was raised in Lincolnwood, Illinois and taught in this town for 36 years at Rutledge Hall School. She held her Masters Degree in Education. Linda loved to learn as she did teach. She retired in 2006; in her retirement she loved to read, travel, spend time with her husband, children, grandchildren and all her friends. Gerry and Linda built their dream home in Mesquite, Nevada in 2011.
She is survived by her husband; son Travis; two daughters Kirsten (Danial) and Katie; her mother Irene Comyn; brother Robert (Beverly) Comyn and grandchildren Nicholas and Madeline . Linda was preceded in death by her father Albert Comyn.
A celebration of Linda's life will take place in Chicago at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Virgin Valley Mortuary.
