Lewis Aquart Wimer III suddenly returned to his heavenly home on June 30, 2023 from his earthly home in Overton, NV at the age of 73. He was born November 23, 1949 in Oakland, CA to Lewis Aquart Wimer Jr. and Frances Helen Brocklebank. Lewis had many memories of spending time visiting both sets of grandparents in Southern California, where they lived in homes that were back to back. Lewis’ father was a naval officer, thus his family moved often, taking Lewis to Hawaii, Southern California, Washington State, Rhode Island, and he eventually ended up in Nevada.
Lewis had two older sisters, Linda and Deborah (both deceased), and two half-sisters, Grace and Heather. In 1974, Lewis married Gayle Bellinger, and they had two children, Megan (deceased) and Lewis IV. Lewis and Gayle eventually divorced. Lewis worked in the construction field in Las Vegas, NV for many years. In 1990, Lewis was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints after gaining a testimony and love of The Book of Mormon and latter-day prophets. He married JoLynne Davis in 1993, and in 1996, a baby boy, Bunker Anthony, joined the family.
Lewis developed kidney failure later in his life and began dialysis in 2019. He cared deeply for his dialysis family. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, technicians, and staff who were a part of his medical team over the years.
Lewis is survived by his wife JoLynne; son Bunker; son Lewis IV; grandchildren Lacy, Lilly, Lewis V, Laila, and Lennox; half-sisters Heather and Grace; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Overton, NV Chapel. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in their Guest Book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com.
