Leslie Hinton, age 81, died Wednesday, February 2, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born April 15, 1929 in Hurricane, Utah to John Leslie and Ruth Milne Fawcett Hinton. On August 22, 1950 he married Patricia Jean Harris in the St. George LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on February 26, 2008. Leslie grew up in Hurricane. He met his sweetheart at a dance in St. George, Utah. Shortly after they were married, they moved to Henderson, Nevada. After brief employment at Timet, he landed and electrician job at the Fremont Hotel, where he worked until his retirement. He was always active in the LDS Church, serving faithfully in many callings including as an ordinance worker at the Las Vegas Temple. He enjoyed spending time with family, boating, camping and gardening. He loved to square dance with Patricia. Survivors include one son and four daughters: Kurtiss (Karen) of N. Las Vegas; Rebecca (Oscar) Christensen of Bunkerville, NV; Arline (Ruth) McCall of Henderson; Sherrie (Glenn) DeVoge of Henderson; Melissa (Phil) Freeman of Las Vegas, NV; 31 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters: Gloria, Joyce Adams and Roland all of Hurricane, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother Junior. Funeral services will be held Monday, Febraury 7, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Water Street Chapel, 400 S. Water St., Henderson, NV. Visitation will be from 8:30 - 9:30 a..m prior to services at the chapel. Interment will be in the Hurricane City Cemetery, under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary.
